Re-Boats 

I always wanted one of those!

Maybe you remember the roar of that beautiful mahogany runabout as it sped down the river at 40 knots. Perhaps it was the sight of a gorgeous yawl, beating hard up the Bay in 25 knots of breeze. Or the memory of a quiet August night with your family's cabin cruiser anchored in a secluded cove by a corn field.

Those were great times. And great boats.

Re-Boats are ACW’s unique line of totally re-manufactured contemporary classic sail and power yachts.  Now you can own that great classic boat you always wanted, thoroughly renewed and upgraded to contemporary standards at an amazingly affordable price.  Here’s how we do it:

• We begin with a well-known, proven fibreglass yacht hull; most often one built in the 60s or 70s.
• After thoroughly inspecting it for soundness, the hull is gutted: All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are removed and discarded, as are all interior cabinetry and non-structural members.  Depending on the ultimate design, the deck and cabin may also be removed, leaving only a bare, but sound, classic yacht  hull.
• We then build a virtually new boat within the classic hull using all new components, one which incorporates modern systems and reflects the owner’s needs and desires, yet which retains the character and advantages of the classic hull from which it was derived. 
• The new yacht may appear similar or even identical to the original or it may be completely transformed, e.g. an ordinary mid-60s 20’ runabout re-made as a luxury center-console cocktail launch, or a common 28’ cruising sloop re-born in mahogany and teak as an 1930’s-style dayboat.
• The resulting Re-Boat are virtually new boats and are provided to the owner with a new-boat warranty.
• ACW usually has a number of Re-Boats available for sale or in progress in our shop.  We are also happy to work with you to explore innovative ways to transform and renew you own boat!
